Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A mounted 14th King's light Dragoon in a landscape by Richard Simkin was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 180.00 (€ 267.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150.00 – 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Simkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 10th Prince of Wales's Own Royal Hussars; and three others in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 5,287.50 (€ 5,680.60).
