Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Richard Pousette-Dart was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 492,500.00 (€ 422,022.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Pousette-Dart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Pousette-Dart wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 492.500,00 (€ 422.022,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
