Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Epikur by Richard Oelze was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in June last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,231.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Richard Oelze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wald in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 325,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Epikur von Richard Oelze wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.231,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Oelze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wald im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 325.000,00.
