Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Baumstamm (Tree Trunk) by Richard Oelze was sold in the The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2021. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Oelze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wald in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 325,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Baumstamm (Tree Trunk) von Richard Oelze wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion The Curator’s Eye: The Collection of Professor Dr Karin von Maur bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Oelze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wald im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 325.000,00.
