The work Mittagssonne by Richard Müller was sold in the Important Prints & Multiples: Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,008.00 (€ 837.91), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Circe“. in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mittagssonne von Richard Müller wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Important Prints & Multiples: Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.008,00 (€ 837,91) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Müller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Circe“. im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
