This artwork by Richard Hunt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Natural Form Number 7 sold for USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,800.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wing Bloom in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 138,600.00 (€ 119,000.60).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Hunt erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Natural Form Number 7 für USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.800,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wing Bloom im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 119.000,60).
