The work Salzburg Cathedral by Richard Estes was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,393.47), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Estes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gifts of Nature in March this year with an auction result of USD 1,284,000.00 (€ 1,181,015.45).

Die Arbeit Salzburg Cathedral von Richard Estes wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.393,47) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Estes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gifts of Nature im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.284.000,00 (€ 1.181.015,45).
