Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pont du Carrousel by Richard Estes was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 453,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Estes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gifts of Nature, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 1,284,000.00 (€ 1,181,015.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pont du Carrousel von Richard Estes kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 453.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Estes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gifts of Nature beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 1.284.000,00 (€ 1.181.015,45) versteigert wurde.
