Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rémy Blanchard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2013. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Figure With Torch sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,166.79) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rémy Blanchard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Man With Lantern And Feather sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of USD 16,562.50 (€ 13,960.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rémy Blanchard erzielte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Figure With Torch für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.166,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rémy Blanchard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Man With Lantern And Feather im Juli 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 16.562,50 (€ 13.960,30).
