Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work Mannequins by Reimond Kimpe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,962.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Reimond Kimpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing Tennis in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 59,100.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mannequins von Reimond Kimpe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.962,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reimond Kimpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing Tennis im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.100,00.
