In September 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Two figures by Reimond Kimpe. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,000.00 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Reimond Kimpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playing Tennis in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 59,100.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two figures von Reimond Kimpe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.000,00 und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Reimond Kimpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playing Tennis im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.100,00.
