Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monument by Reimond Kimpe was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reimond Kimpe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playing Tennis in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 59,100.00.

Die Arbeit Monument von Reimond Kimpe wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Reimond Kimpe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playing Tennis im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.100,00.
