Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hollyhocks and other Flowers at Revest by Ray Garvey was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 195.50 (€ 325.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Garvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).

Die Arbeit Hollyhocks and other Flowers at Revest von Ray Garvey kam im März 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 195,50 (€ 325,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ray Garvey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hale-Bopp over Provence, France beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.070,69) versteigert wurde.
