Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 230.00 (€ 382.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Garvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).
