Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Farm Buildings near Mane by Ray Garvey was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2000. The price achieved of GBP 230.00 (€ 382.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Garvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 230,00 (€ 382,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ray Garvey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hale-Bopp over Provence, France beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.070,69) versteigert wurde.
