Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A quiet country track, Mane, France; and Strata, Revest by Ray Garvey for GBP 168.00 (€ 249.83). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ray Garvey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A quiet country track, Mane, France; and Strata, Revest von Ray Garvey für GBP 168,00 (€ 249,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ray Garvey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hale-Bopp over Provence, France im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.070,69).
