This work of art by Ray Garvey could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France changed hands for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Despite this disappointing result, Hale-Bopp over Provence, France is the most expensive artwork by Ray Garvey that we have observed at auction so far.
