Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape regatta by Ray Garvey for GBP 300.00 (€ 439.16). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ray Garvey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape regatta von Ray Garvey für GBP 300,00 (€ 439,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ray Garvey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hale-Bopp over Provence, France beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.070,69) versteigert wurde.
