Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Montagne de Lure from Revest, France; and View of Le Luberon, France by Ray Garvey was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 408.00 (€ 597.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ray Garvey have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2006 the work Hale-Bopp over Provence, France was auctioned for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,070.69).
