Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Rameshwar Broota. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 63,489.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rameshwar Broota achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rameshwar Broota zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 63.489,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
