Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work The Other Space by Rameshwar Broota. Here, the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 312,500.00 (€ 278,322.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rameshwar Broota - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Numbers, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Other Space von Rameshwar Broota zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 312.500,00 (€ 278.322,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Numbers beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81) versteigert wurde.
