Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rameshwar Broota could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Projections changed hands for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,179.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rameshwar Broota achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Numbers in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 912,000.00 (€ 710,667.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rameshwar Broota konnte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Projections für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.179,48) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rameshwar Broota erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Numbers im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 912.000,00 (€ 710.667,81).
