Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ramesh Sharma could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Islamic & Indian Works of Art auction, the work Six Illustrations Of Jewellery changed hands for GBP 58.75 (€ 98.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ramesh Sharma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deers head axe in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,898.97).
