Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Paul F. Walter, which included this untitled work by Ralph Humphrey. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,232.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ralph Humphrey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A/60-61 in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 201,049.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ralph Humphrey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.232,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ralph Humphrey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A/60-61 im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 201.049,69).
