Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Qiu Shihua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 28,443.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Shihua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wooded Pasture, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Shihua erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 28.443,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wooded Pasture beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55) versteigert wurde.
