Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2013 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Prodosh Dasgupta for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,565.38). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Prodosh Dasgupta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Broken Idol in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2013 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Prodosh Dasgupta für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.565,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prodosh Dasgupta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Broken Idol im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63).
