Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twisted Form by Prodosh Dasgupta was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,246.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Prodosh Dasgupta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Broken Idol, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Twisted Form von Prodosh Dasgupta kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.246,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Prodosh Dasgupta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Broken Idol beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63) versteigert wurde.
