Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Egg Family by Prodosh Dasgupta was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,457.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Prodosh Dasgupta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Broken Idol in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Egg Family von Prodosh Dasgupta wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.457,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prodosh Dasgupta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Broken Idol im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63).
