The work Sun Worshipers by Prodosh Dasgupta was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2018. It achieved a price of INR 2,125,000.00 (€ 26,836.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Prodosh Dasgupta; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Broken Idol sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).

Die Arbeit Sun Worshipers von Prodosh Dasgupta kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von INR 2.125.000,00 (€ 26.836,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Prodosh Dasgupta; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Broken Idol im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63).
