Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Remorse Of An Egg by Prodosh Dasgupta was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of INR 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of INR 1,750,000.00 (€ 22,075.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Prodosh Dasgupta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Broken Idol was auctioned for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).

Die Arbeit Remorse Of An Egg von Prodosh Dasgupta kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von INR 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von INR 1.750.000,00 (€ 22.075,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
