Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Suryamukhi) by Prodosh Dasgupta was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,753.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Prodosh Dasgupta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Broken Idol in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Suryamukhi) von Prodosh Dasgupta wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.753,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prodosh Dasgupta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Broken Idol im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63).
