Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Aristocrats (Edition 3 Of 9) by Prodosh Dasgupta. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Prodosh Dasgupta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Broken Idol in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 38,465.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aristocrats (Edition 3 Of 9) von Prodosh Dasgupta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Prodosh Dasgupta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Broken Idol im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 38.465,63).
