Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online, which included the work Three Leopards and the Moon by Popo Iskandar. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,975.34) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Popo Iskandar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cockerel in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Leopards and the Moon von Popo Iskandar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.975,34) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cockerel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80).
