Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red Nude by Popo Iskandar was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,286.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Popo Iskandar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cockerel, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Red Nude von Popo Iskandar kam im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.286,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cockerel beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80) versteigert wurde.
