The work Landscape by Popo Iskandar was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The result of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,553.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Popo Iskandar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cockerel in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Landscape von Popo Iskandar kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.553,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cockerel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80).
