Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Alam (Nature) by Popo Iskandar. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 48,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 53,125.00 (€ 5,820.56). Admittedly, works by Popo Iskandar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cockerel in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alam (Nature) von Popo Iskandar zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 48.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 53.125,00 (€ 5.820,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cockerel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80).
