Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jembatan kuning (Flowers in Yellow Basin) by Popo Iskandar was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2021. The price achieved of HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,004.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Popo Iskandar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cockerel in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jembatan kuning (Flowers in Yellow Basin) von Popo Iskandar kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.004,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cockerel im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80).
