The work Kucing (Cat) by Popo Iskandar was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,556.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Popo Iskandar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cockerel, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 39,661.80).

Die Arbeit Kucing (Cat) von Popo Iskandar wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.556,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Für andere Arbeiten von Popo Iskandar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cockerel beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 39.661,80) versteigert wurde.
