Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Portfolio Two' by Pirkle Jones for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,517.14). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pirkle Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Portfolio Two', which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,055.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Portfolio Two' von Pirkle Jones für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.517,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pirkle Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Portfolio Two' beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.055,64) versteigert wurde.
