Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Architectural Studies by Pirkle Jones was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2010. The price achieved of USD 750.00 (€ 610.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pirkle Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Portfolio Two' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,055.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Architectural Studies von Pirkle Jones kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 750,00 (€ 610,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pirkle Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Portfolio Two' im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.055,64).
