The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle between Carnival and Lent in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,873,250.00 (€ 8,231,687.76).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 555.000,00 (€ 619.060,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Brueghel II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Battle between Carnival and Lent im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.873.250,00 (€ 8.231.687,76).
