Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La danse de noces en plein air by Peter Brueghel II was sold in the Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 314,880.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Brueghel II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Battle between Carnival and Lent in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,873,250.00 (€ 8,231,687.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La danse de noces en plein air von Peter Brueghel II wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire Collection bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 314.880,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Brueghel II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Battle between Carnival and Lent im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.873.250,00 (€ 8.231.687,76).
