Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape With Haystacks by Piet Schipperus for EUR 438.00. This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours at Sothebys in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet Schipperus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The beach seen from the dunes in September 2005 with an auction result of EUR 4,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape With Haystacks von Piet Schipperus für EUR 438,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.560,00.
