Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Logging by Piet Schipperus was sold in the MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 622.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Piet Schipperus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The beach seen from the dunes in September 2005 with an auction result of EUR 4,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Logging von Piet Schipperus wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 622,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.560,00.
