Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At the edge of a forest by Piet Schipperus was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,680.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piet Schipperus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The beach seen from the dunes, which sold at auction in September 2005 for EUR 4,560.00.

Die Arbeit At the edge of a forest von Piet Schipperus kam im Januar 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.680,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes beobachtet, die im September 2005 für EUR 4.560,00 versteigert wurde.
