However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piet Schipperus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The beach seen from the dunes, which sold at auction in September 2005 for EUR 4,560.00.

Die Arbeit A Country Idyll von Piet Schipperus kam im September 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.270,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes beobachtet, die im September 2005 für EUR 4.560,00 versteigert wurde.
