Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Farmer and cows on a forest track by Piet Schipperus. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piet Schipperus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The beach seen from the dunes, which sold at auction in September 2005 for EUR 4,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farmer and cows on a forest track von Piet Schipperus zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes beobachtet, die im September 2005 für EUR 4.560,00 versteigert wurde.
