Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Woodcutters Near A "Malle Jan" In The Forest by Piet Schipperus. The price achieved of EUR 688.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Piet Schipperus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The beach seen from the dunes in September 2005 with an auction result of EUR 4,560.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodcutters Near A "Malle Jan" In The Forest von Piet Schipperus zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 688,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piet Schipperus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The beach seen from the dunes im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.560,00.
