Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Farm Setting With Foreground Tree And Irrigation Ditch (Scène De Ferme Avec Un Arbre Au Premier Plan Et Un Canal D'Irrigation) by Piet Mondrian for EUR 30,750.00. This price was achieved in the auction Art Impressionniste & Moderne at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet Mondrian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition No. III, with Red, Blue, Yellow, and Black, 1929 in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 50,565,000.00 (€ 45,993,269.06).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Art Impressionniste & Moderne bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
