Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Nature Morte by Pierre Hodé. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,154.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Hodé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Cathedrale De Rouen, Les Toits, 1929, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 37,176.00.
