Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis-Philippe Parizeau could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Noble & Private Collections Including Fine Tapestries Part I auction, the work Four episodes from the life of Saint Gregory: Gregory called to the Pontificate; Gregory curing the wounded during the Siege of Rome; Gregory ordering the construction of Saint Peter's; and The Death of Gregory changed hands for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,445.00) - missin However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis-Philippe Parizeau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Etude de mains, which sold at auction in March 2012 for EUR 3,000.00.
